Many brownstones here including the one from Sex and the City. There are numerous shops, bars and restauranrts. It is quieter than most of New York and quite nice for a walk. Worth a visit.

Lovely city, a lot quieter that the main New York centre, can see carrie Bradshaw’s apartment and the friends building, around ten minutes away from each other. We found a lovely French restaurant highly recommend

Always, energetic and quirky, the West Village offers visitors the opportunity to slow down, walk-about and enjoy the incredible diversity that comprises the great City. There are interesting bars, restaurants, shops, clubs, etc., Something for everyone.

Manhattan can be quite hectic with all people, traffic and sounds all the time:West Village was the opposite. Peaceful, quiet and really nice area.

We stayed one night at Walker Hotel in West 13th. Nice little bar and restaurant.

Newark Liberty International Airport Station Secaucus Junction Hoboken PATH 33rd via Hoboken Christopher Street Station should get you right there.
