This ferry system is a lifesaver! I live in Jersey City, NJ, and the ferry terminal I use is at the Exchange Place Transit Center. When the PATH (NJ/NY subway system) has a delay or stoppage, I can jump onto a ferry at Exchange Place, and end up at the World Financial Center in Lower Manhattan, for around $5. I... More

By riding the New York Waterway ferry from Weehawken, NJ, at the Port Imperial Terminal to the Midtown Terminal in NYC, I sat in comfort as I looked at the sights along that part of the Hudson River in NYC: USS Intrepid, a large cruise ship, other ferries, etc. as well as the NYC skyline for a fraction of the... Took 4.10 ferry to city to see show from Port Imperial to Midtown. Returned for return journey at 9.30 to find all services cancelked without any warning or notification. Cost $61 to take UBER back to NJ and still have return tickets and had to pay parking. Lousy service, not to be trusted... Crooks. Low passenger volume so cancel service... More

Anyone desiring to get an experience of ferry or boat ride with amazing views of Manhattan skyline and passing under iconic Brooklyn bridge is strongly recommended to explore this option. NY Waterway has boat stations lined up conveniently on both sides of Manhattan & Brooklyn. We boarded from financial district, got off at Long Island and took a second one... More

Any water-based space allied to the scenic views of Downtown Manhattan is a recipe for pure magic to me with this Waterway being no exception. Ideal for those just contemplating .... anything or more particularly photographers ... all assuming you're not on a boat. We had the delight of sailing into Manhattan on Cunard's QE so we were spoled to... More

Great way to commute into Manhattan. Abundant parking and on nice days you can sit outside and enjoy the view.

We took ferry ride earlier this month and got to see the skyline. There were plenty of tourists and it was bit chaotic. I guess it's good if you are a tourist but for locals there are better options.

I have had to go to midtown for different events. On many occasions I take the Path at Hoboken. But on occasion, I need to get to locations around the city. NYW offers shuttle service to different spots in the city. They have regular scheduled bus routes which make the city open and available.

We found out last weekend that the PATH was not available on the weekends from Penn station the hard way when trying to get to Hoboken to meet up with family for dinner. We ended up taking the subway that we were told to take only to find out that it was also not going to take us to where... More

While in NY on business, a few colleagues and I decided to take the ferry to Hoboken. We heard that this gives a great view of the Statue of Liberty and the best city scape view of NYC at night. Although, the view of Lady Liberty is not good at all, the city scape is incredible. We had a great... More
