Not a bad seat in the house but we were front row :) loved every minute of Once on this Island!! Charming theater. Super cool atmosphere.

This theatre is in the round, so the audience surround the performers. Once on this island was performed brilliantly and with the sounds and lighting effects, you almost thought you were there. There was no intermission, so get drinks beforehand. Well recommended.

This is a wonderful small but unique theatre. The stage is the middle with the audience completely surrounding it (like a circus). Literally every seat is a good seat. We bought three of the last seats available and they were wonderful (and much less expensive...More

My Wife and I had the pleasure of visiting Circle In The Square Theatre when our Granddaughter performed in the production of "Seagull". The entire production was of tremendous professional quality and the viewing opportunities were outstanding. We will go back!

The staging is fun, but the play itself is weird in more ways than one. The guy marries a black woman but then the theme is that blacks are discriminated. The cast is strange: an underwater witch who casts a spell which then becomes irrelevant....More

I really enjoyed the show. I didn’t know about the unusual set so I was surprised when I walked in. The stage was surrounded by the audience vs the traditional set up. The stage was covered in sand with water to look like a Caribbean...More

We handpicked this theater and the show for the following reasons - we wanted a different experience in a circle/oval theater where almost every seat offers a good view, the show was voted Best Musical Revival And Leah Salonga was in the cast. Our seat...More

I can't believe this show won the Tony for Best Revival. The story is depressing and the music is nothing special. On the Tuesday night we attended, several of the main characters had substitutes, but I don't think that would have made a big difference...More

We bought tickets to this show upon the recommendation of a friend who had already seen it twice. Talented cast, creative staging, heartwarming (though predictable) storyline. The immersive nature of the experience adds a lovely dimension. After winning the Tony for "Best Musical Revival," ticket...More

we've seen a few things at CiTS: Godspell, Lady Day, and now Once on This Island. They always do a great job in totally transforming the space to fit the show and it is no difference now. There's a water area (with real ankle deep...More

We ate at The Meatball Shop at 798 9th Ave, which Google Maps tells me is an 8 minute walk to Circle in the Square. We ate there before an evening performance of Wicked at The Gershwin and it was a very easy walk. Are you... More
