We brought our Girl Scout troop there for the chocolate making experience. I made reservations on the phone, they were very accommodating. I would highly recommend the Chocolate Making experience, it was fun and informative. The girls (and leaders) loved it! We each made 4 chocolate bars and 3 chocolate lollipops. They provided us with candy bags to wrap them... More

Chocolate is phenomenal!!! The demonstrations include observing how the Mayans made hot chocolate from scratch, then you get to taste it. Also Jacques Torres himself demonstrated how to make chocolate bon bons (You get to taste that too)! There is a small museum consisting of tools that the Mayans used, as well as china used by the Spaniards to serve... More

Perhaps my expectations were too high but this experience was a disappointment. I assumed it's linkage to Jacques Torre meant it would be super neat but I was wrong. While the two demonstrations were interesting, they were short and not very indepth. The "museum tour" was merely a self-guided walk through a few glass cases with some informative details along... This "museum has a lot of potential but also needs to work up to it. The address was given as 305 Hudson Street but the entrance was around the corner..It was confusing because there were two entrances, one for the shop and another for the museum. They were poorly marked. .The entrance to the museum was not attractive. It was... More

At the store on Lafayette Street NYC I had ice cream. It had been thawed and refrozen, and there was a hair in it. GROSS!

This is a nice small museum with the beginnings of chocolate by the Mayans through present-day. There is a demonstration of making freshly ground hot chocolate. You can try some samples of chocolates from three countries. There is also a demonstration of making chocolate bonbons with some tips for making your own (and samples again!). There is an activity area... More

Great chocolate shop offering much more than just treats in Soho. There's a museum and classes but you know you're here for the goodies.

This was a great stop in our trip. The chocolates my wife and I got were amazing. Definitely pricey but it is expected at a premier chocolatier. Next time will make sure to try the hot chocolate which I have heard is great.

I have tried everything from Jacques Torres Chocolate's stores like chocolates(bon-bons), bars, hot chocolate, popcorns/dried fruits covered w/ chocolate etc... As I've mentioned in the title, I believe that this is the best chocolate quality possible in New York but not at all the best one comparing with many chocolatiers in Europe. There are waaay much better chocolates with richer... More

Visited in Grand Central, I purchased an ice cream and after realizing the man threw my receipt away I asked for it (mind you they have a sign that if you don't get a receipt your order is free) but that wasn't even the point, I always keep my receipts. So like I said I saw him throw it into... More
