A trifecta of magic. This is a beautiful old Theater with surprisingly comfortable seats. The show was nearly three hours and I didn't squirm once. The bathroom line moved incredibly quickly for a ladies room due to a very pleasant attendant. Drinks were expensive but a solid pour on the alcohol. View from the orchestra section was perfect.

I knew that Glenn Close was a star, but I didn't know she would be that exquisite! In fact, the entire show is brilliantly directed, the orchestra is on fire (excellent performers and conductor) and the whole cast an A+. It runs very fast and smoothly, and Glenn is an absolute delight to see and hear. Go for sets N2,... More

What was not to expect from this show and Glenn Close as the headline. Didn't realize that Glenn Close sang even hitting the high range was exciting. Worth the trip!

Phenomenal ensemble in the stunning Palace Theatre's "Sunset Boulevard"! Heart wrenching Glenn Close is as Norma Desmond! Just as impressive is the haunting music beautifully played by the 40-piece orchestra onstage! The theatre is perfect for the venue, intimate and regal! Sitting up close and personal gives an added dimension to "her eyes"! Here through May 28th, see it live!... More

We watched Sunset Boulevard starring Glenn Close at this theater. It's amazing. The theater is beautiful and regal. It really felt like going to a glitzy and glamorous show. Sunset Boulevard is, of course, impressive. Glenn Close rocks. And so does the other cast members. The set is stunning. Such a memorable experience.

The Palace Theatre, located at Broadway and 47th is stuck on the outskirts of Times Square, so be ready for the frantic pace and the array of vagrants found just outside of the theatre and in the surrounding area. Located right near the "Tkts." venue, the theatre is in need of renovation--as are many of the venues on Broadway. Seats... More

We had no idea what we were about to get into when I booked our tickets to see Sunset Blvd with Glenn Close. The show is solid but every moment she is on stage is phenomenal. I know why Stars are stars. I don't think we've ever been in the Palace before. It is pretty standard Broadway and we had... More

What a fabulous show!!! Glenn was fantastic and played the role with style. The cast including the two leads were amazing. This play put me through all the emotions - cry, laugh, fall in love and wished life was not so hard - thank you

Really enjoyed the show. Orchestra played the entire time. They were wonderful. My only complaint would be the line for the bathroom. Not much anyone could do about that.

Glenn Close is DIVINE, giving a performance worthy of the character. Loved, loved, LOVED her on the stage. Thanks, Ms. Close, for giving us the Norma Desmond we deserve.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
