We stopped in here for a drink before Cats. We lived the ambience and the drinks were fabulous! The chocolate martini was the bomb! And the blintzes were delicious too! Prices were very reasonable and the service was terrific. Great place to stop by when you are in the neighborhood!

We stopped by here before going to see the Jersey Boys and we had the most delicious cocktail. Lovely little bar and the food looked great.

If you're open to trying some different foods & flavored vodka this is a nice happy hour spot. The place looks and feels like an old time NYC bar which is exactly what it is in the theater district. People are friendly and service helpful.

This small place is on the corner of 8th Ave and 52nd St. across the street from the Russian Samovar. The food is authentic and quite good. Infused vodka is available for $26 for 7 oz. There is live piano music and the bar is typically packed with expats. Enjoy!

A remarkably authentic Russian bistro-type piano bar cool place for before or after a Broadway show. Great vodka herring gravlox. Good great as was horseradish or garlic vodka. This is a real find - and I a New Yorker for over thirty years. Bravo to the management .

Great time at a small intimate setting. Go for happy hour before a show or return after the show for live piano players. Had a great time. Service/bartender was excellent, friendly as were the patrons.

I had researched RVR and found that is was across the street from our hotel. Wow, I was pleased. The happy hour was from 4-7 p.m., offering $4 infused vodka shots (nice-sized) and cold beers. The wait staff was very friendly and while the atmosphere may not be for everyone it took me to the dimly-lit, booth-furnished cocktail lounges that... More

We enjoyed this bar enough to go twice. The first time we went was a great time-killer as we waited for David Letterman’s show, which is close by. It was great to take advantage of the happy hour prices, where are between 4:00pm and 7:00pm (double-check their website to be sure). Vodka shots during happy hour are $4 each, and... More

Just ate here last week, it looked not so inviting from the outside, but I was in the mood for some Russian food. Once inside the place is quite cozy. I noticed an earlier review mention that it was hot in the summer. It was quite cold outside and I noticed it to be slightly colder inside than I would... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
