It's pretty cool to see the building where John and Yoko lived. You can't tour it but it's a beautiful building.

My husband is a Beatles fan so we walked through Central Park to the Dakota building on 72nd. it is very easy to find. We both found the building very interesting to see, with so much history. It was easy to walk across the road...More
Just like any other old classic building, the Dakota is know for celebrities associated with it specially John Lennon of Beatles fame and his wife Yoko Ono. As you are not allowed to go inside, you can see it from outside.
Home of John Lennon and Yoko Ono. The windows are completely covered and their is no access inside the building to the public. Skip unless you are a hardcore Beatles/John Lennon fan. Shot where he was assassinated is here.
Beautiful building, featured in a number of movies such as Rosemary's Baby and well known - of course - for John Lennon - the memorial is just across the street.
Went for walk after dinner and building is in good shape.Love light sconces on building by doorman area.Reminisced about when John Lennon got killed.
