I have gone to Birdland on many occasions during business trips to New York, and I have never been disappointed. The jazz gigs are usually good to excellent, service is friendly , and the food - with a distinct emphasis on Cajun-style dishes - isn't...More

We had a nice dinner with an amusing classic jazz music. The staff is really welcoming and the service is great. The food is good and the bar is charming . We really enjoyed that it is still a small place I think not more...More

Good jazz club to stop in after theatre to listen to some good music and enjoy some excellent food. Less than two blocks down from any of the theatres.

We've been to Birdland on a previous trip to NY to hear top quality jazz (which it's famous for) but this time we went on a Monday night, first to hear Amanda McBroom and then stay for the Cast Party. We arrived for dinner at...More

Beautiful place and music, shame for the rude bald host at the entrance. I'm so sorry for the rest of the excelent people, they have to share this one star review. Such a nice place shouldn't have this disrespectful attention.

Everything a jazz club should be, small, intimate, atmospheric. We saw Veronica Swift and we're blown away by this young talent, singing jazz and swing classics and accompanied by a stellar pianist, double base and drums. The crowd mixed people from out of town and...More

We come here often to listen to music. Decent venue. $10 minimum per person at the tables. Highly recommend a visit. Get your reservation on line.

We wanted to go to a Jazz club but didn't plan in Advance. Our concierge suggested a few places, called them and reported back that only the Birdland could accommodate us-early show at 6 pm. To be honest we wouldn't be able to make it...More

We sat at the front of the raised section, at the bar end of the venue and it was fine. It's a bit like Ronnie Scotts in size so there aren't really any "bad" seats for the enjoyment of the music.

We have fix for Pizzarelli this week. If you want to have dinner before the show/during the show, do you reserve ahead or just take a seat when the doors open? THX!
