This 59-story skyscraper stands out like a sore thumb in Midtown Manhattan, towering above nearby buildings. It looks like a sentry behind the beautiful Helmsley Building, tiny in comparison at 34 stories. MetLife is not especially attractive. It features International-style architecture -- plain, massive and...More

Excellent location next to grand central. Provides beautiful view. Had an opportunity to visit top floors where lot of Metlife history also resides. Lots of good eateries - my favourite being Godiva.

right near Grand Central Station on 42nd St. This building, although very modern compared to the normal architectural gems in NYC, is very photogenic. It was originally built as the PAN-AM Tower

Well if you are driving on Park Avenue then this is one of the buildings you will see. It stands tall and is quite iconic in NYC.

Though it looks nothing like the more historical gems over which it looms, it's still a gorgeous skyscraper near 42nd St and Park Ave. It was fascinating to see in person and imagine the helicopter rides that used to happen from its roof when it...More

This building was originally built in 1963 as the Pan Am Building and was later bought by Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. It has an impressive architecture and currently houses the headquarters of many big corporations.

You can clearly see this skyscraper while walking or crossing Park Avenue. It was built in the 1960's as Pan Am Building. One of many buildings to see in NYC.

This building looms above Park Ave. just north of Grand Central. It's been a landmark, but for me it was more notable when it had the PanAm name up on top. Now it disappoints.
