Top ways to experience Trump Tower
The area
Address
Neighbourhood: Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

    Tourist Attraction?
It has become a tourist attraction because of one famous sort-of resident. People pose for pictures here. Lots of security all around. I don't think it's an attractive or interesting skyscraper. It to tacky and gaudy. Gold color, which is off-putting.

Good to see and see inside but not essential
I went out of curiosity and just walked in, took some photos of the inside and exited. Oh and went to the loo! It's stunning inside but nothing much to see. The upper floors were closed. I just went to say that I have been in Trump Towers. Stunning inside the building though.

    Maribel C.
Thank you Maribel!!! It's worth a visit if you're in the city. I just wanted to stop in and check it out and had some of the best customer service ever! I stopped by Trump Cafe/Sweets downstairs on the lower level and was greeted by Maribel. She was sweet, kind and a great welcome back to Nyc. Thank you for the suggestions. Good job Trump staff.

En passant, by the way ....
When walking 5th Avenue up to Central Park, we saw Trump tower and had a look at it. Very "clinquant"/glittery .... You can visit (for free) the atrium, some shops, sweet snacks place .... restrooms downstairs. Doorman = ok, however there was a very unfriendly and dismissive man at the desk near the elevators. Not worth a detour!

Although we did not stay at this hotel, we did go inside.
There was a man dressed up as Donald Trump walking around the front of the building. It was comical.
Police presence was around.
Inside is GORGEOUS and the bathrooms were SUPER CLEAN!
We rode the escalator up a floor to look down into the lobby.
Without being a guest, you cannot get any further, but there is a bar, a restaurant and sweet shop you could eat at.
My husband said, "The next time we come to NYC, we're going to splurge and get one of the rooms here. (Though it's more than $700 a night!)"

Popped in for a wander around and ended up having a coffee. Very welcoming building and some history to snap some pictures. The kids aged 6&8 loved it and it’s easily accessible for all ages

We came across trump Tower as we were walking past. We decided to have a look inside and it was nothing what I was expecting. The tree was lovely. The atmosphere was great too

Walking by the Trump tower is kinda unique. Located on 5th ave just down from the Plaza Hotel and Central Park (5 minute walk from The Plaza hotel and Central Park).
The police had the side road closed off and we couldn’t get in the front door to see.
OK to walk by if you are in the area but wouldn’t make a special trip to see it.

So tacky. The whole structure is a blight on the city. Why are they allowed to block the sidewalk and have that ridiculous clock without a permit?
