This Off-Broadway production, written by Layon Gray, tells the story of six volunteers who make their way to Texas to take the test to become Army fighter pilots in 1942 during World War II. The narrator reads from his great-grandfather’s journal as the six performers reenact the story, the conflicts among them, their strategy in flight after graduation from training... More

This play is an extremely interesting, totally engrossing story about a group of men who persist in their desire to serve our country as pilots during WW II, despite the fact that they are blocked at every turn because of the color of their skin. The acting is superb, and we learned a great deal of new information about the... More

Saw this play yesterday at 4. I had heard of the Tuskegee Airmen. This play made the airmen and their struggles against discrimination to gain their wings so real to me. The acting and singing talent was wonderful. The script writer, and director also Is in the play, playing the role of Quentin. A must see in my book!

This Off Broadway show was truly amazing. The story of the Tuskegee Airmen isn't just one for African-Americans but for all Americans, something we all should know. The actors did a great job getting to to feel their pain during the struggles of the time. The theater is small, but adds to the intimacy of the performance. I definitely recommend... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
