Sometimes in midtown Manhattan you just need to find a quiet place to relax and regroup. The Tudor City Greens provide just such an oasis. Located between 41st and 43rd Streets between 1st and 2nd Avenues this quiet green area with plenty of benches is easy to miss. I like walking east on 43rd street from 2nd Avenue, looking at... This isn't the kind of park you go out of your way to see... There's not much to it and it is not dog friendly. They do host events on occasion and there are so great views of the Chrysler building right past the park though.

Every time , while visiting the bustling New York city , we like to take short , calm breaks in different squares and small parks around the city (See our separate review of Bryant Park) . This time we have added another place to our list ; Tudor City Greens , a secluded beautiful calm and quiet garden , located... More

Such a beautiful little garden.....serene tranquility in a noisy city. Located in the gorgeous Tudor City, this is a must walk for anyone looking for a time out from the noise of the city.

Stumbled upon this cute little gem tucked in the middle of brick bldgs. It was green and clean and peaceful. Totally unexpected but totally appreciated after a long day's walk.

I was on the need of some green and quiet place during hectic days in NYC. I googled for some nice gardens in the city and red about this. Luckily, I was around the area one day, and accidentally ended up here. This is a beautiful escape in the city. We went with my little nephew while my sister was... More

This is a NYC gem. The greens are located on either side of 42nd street but elevated on Tudor City Place. During the summer there is live outdoor music, for lunch a quiet place surrounded by trees and in the winter, lot with holiday lights. Between the two is the best view up 42nd and across the east river to... More

One of the coolest little parks I have ever been in. The park is in a fantastic neighborhood surrounded by great trees (you could probably stand in the rain and not get wet under these trees, cool old benches, and a cool sandwich shop down the street. This park is beautifully manicured and is an absolutely wonderful place to read... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
