We did not get to go inside but enjoyed looking at the architecture and hearing the history of the church and prominent members.

The building, the music, the singing and the sermon were all wonderful. The choir, the pastor and the Guest Preacher were inspirational. It was also lovely to witness the blessing of two babies on the occasion we were there. It was a shame, however, that...More

The visitor-line of Tourist is awful and most of them are not informed on the rules of the church. Songs were nice, its a regular church and should be handled as so.

This is the best church to watch a service. The minister is absolutely great and you do not need to be Catholic to enjoy the gospel. One needs to make reservation and arrive early.

Shameful. As ordained ministers in another denomination, we sought out this "Church" for worship last Sunday morning (1 Nov 2015) as it was mentioned in the guide books for this, our first visit to New York. However, I suspected something was not right when, instead...More

We were there on Sunday morning in front ot the door for gospel. The guys at the door say there is no place for tourists. We were said that the church is full of the community and no place for guests. Then we went to...More

played a vital role in the history of New York City.
Today, the neighbourhood is as vibrant as ever as new
businesses and developments go up next to local
institutions. The heart of the neighbourhood is
bustling 125th Street, where street vendors and
historic landmarks like the Apollo Theater mingle with
big-name stores. Turn down almost any corner, and
