Lovely small gallery with a very good exhibition of the paintings of Marc and Macke. Star of the gallery is undoubtedly the Klimt portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer however. It is absolutely gorgeous but photos do not do it justice as it is impossible to capture...More

The Neue Galerie used to be my favorite museum in Manhattan. Unfortunately, my most recent visit didn't impress. The museum is still beautiful and the exhibits interesting. But it was so crowded, I couldn't enjoy the experience. Line tor tickets, line wrapped around the entrance...More

Beautiful structure on Manhattans upper east side exhibiting German Austrian art. It’s a very small gallery so you can see everything in 2 hrs. There are 2 cafes - the upstairs cafe tends to have a line, we used the downstairs cafe & were seated...More

If you like Klimt and Schiele this is your place. While they put on some excellent exhibitions, their permanent collection is well worth the visit. This used to be a luxurious home and you can still tell; a great ambience.

This one of the most amazing places in New York City. The gallery is absolutely amazing. The Gustav Klimt paintings are absolutely breath-taking. Entry is free, but visitors are encouraged to make a small donation. Nothing is free in New York, but thanks to the...More

We went on a rainy day and waited about 30 min to get in. If you like Klimt and Schiele it’s with a visit. Was worth the wait to see Woman in Gold

See five or six Klimt paintings. A few Blauer Reiter. Unfriendly staff. Will make you pour out your water bottles and then check your backpack. Long lines to get in. A waste of time and money.

This gallery has a small but impressive collection of Early 20th Century German & Austrian artists. The centerpiece is Gustav Klimt's "Women In Gold," which was recently recovered as former Nazi war loot back to its intended owners (and then onto this gallery). The complicated...More

Excellent Klimt pictures. Unfortunately three galleries were closed by arrangements. Recommended visit on 5th Avenue, near Moma and across from Central Park in New York. Excellent recreation of a typical Vienna Cafe on the 1st floor

Walked in straight off the street. Lost our drink bottles and I can say the Woman in Gold was amazing to see but left a little underwhelmed by the none friendly staff and loosing our water. In and out in less than 20 minutes.
