The Drama Book Shop has that sense of exploration and community that brings people together in a city of strangers. It's excellent for finding a play that is difficult to find or for discovering something new. We found an Antony Sher book that he wrote...More
Lots and lots and lots of books about theatre, including short plays, and performance arts! Bought plenty of great books! Unfortunately, I had pretty poor service when I asked a question to the information desk (it seemed to annoy the clerk that I had a...More
I’m not in the entertainment industry but I would think this is a great bookstore for budding actors, writers, producers, etc. Cute little Shakespeare dolls and other souvenirs for sale. There are also LPs and used books.
I love this store so much. The staff is super responsive and genuinely kind. I am a working actor in California and I try to stop in when I visit family in NY to pick up libretti for upcoming shows. The staff really wants to...More
This is the best place to come if you love the theatre. They have so many resources here that you can't find anywhere else. Plan to come and spend hours browsing. Staff is incredibly helpful. I hope to visit again soon.

Found this by accident on a trip with our daughter who is a theatre lover and high school thespian. What a great store! Plays and librettos, many you've heard of and some for new lesser known plays. Staffed by people who love the craft plus...More
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the
affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
