The theater was 1/3 full. A warning? I think I would like to read this play and see if it might work as a community theater piece. I know actresses who could be more diabolical and sensuous. This cast was phoning it in, marking the time to earn another paycheck? None of the relationships between the female and any of... More

The play was truly amazing. Got me interested from the beginning until the end. Lots of details to understand the twist on the plot which was interesting and fun. Recommend it. Great actors, storyline and scenography. Go see it!

If you read the other reviews they are mostly accurate. The acting isn't as bad as some of the reviews indicate The plot is confusing, even when the whole thing is unraveled things just don't make any sense. Also, once the whole plot is revealed you would think that Dr. Margaret Thorne Brent, Catherine Russell, would show a bit more... More

My mom and I are avid Agatha Christie readers and have seen The Mousetrap in London. There are few crime writers we haven't read between the two of us so this should have been right up our alley. The writing isn't great, the dialogue was unnecessarily obtuse and very confusing. For avid crime readers, it took us about 10 minutes... More

How is it possible that this play is still running after 30 years. Confusing plot - don't know who done it and don't care .

Tickets should never be available by TKTS. What a rip off. The guy helping outside TKTS claimed it was a great "murder mystery, appropriate for kids 11 and up." One of our kids (14) fell asleep. The acting is awful, the plot is worse. The theatre (with AC running that drowned out the lame actors) is a dump.

we could not get half price tickets for the show we wanted, so we chose Perfect Crime. What could be bad about a show compared to "The Mousetrap" and running on Broadway for many years? Well, absolutely everything! They started 15 minutes late. There was little or no amplification of the dialogue, so we only heard bits and pieces of... More

We love crime stories and thus got the tickets. Afterwards I saw lots of negative reviews and "warned" my husband before the show. But we both were VERY positively surprised: Yes, there were lots of facts given to you in the beginning which you had to pay close attention to and which seemed a bit confusing in the 1. act.... Don't go expecting all singing and dancing musical, this is off-broadway. This play is almost all dialogue driven. A clever who-done-it. Very good performances from actors who have honed there craft over many years and have excellent chemistry on stage. It's not perfect though. Slightly unnecessarily complicated, hard to follow it all to the end. You are given an answer... More

If my comments here can save just one person from wasting two precious hours as I did last night, my life will not have been lived in vain. I've seen a lot of theatre, some not so good, some downright awful. This show set a new low. My wife found a deeply discounted deal, but even if the tickets had... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
