Expensive!!

Super expensive, but impressive department store. All the big brands. Many levels. Worth a look, but out of my price range!

Bloomingdales has been a fixture at Third Avenue and 59th Street for generations. It where the Upper East Side shops for fashionable clothes, furniture, china, flatware and kitchen supplies. The service personnel are polite and generally well informed. The great thing about shopping here is that you can easily see and compare so many high end brands of anything before... More

Again this is one of the place when I got the chance to visit New York I really wanted to go, it was not what I expected and was slightly let down, however the did have a good selection of brands and designers.

Lovely shop, got to be a lottery winner to shop there. Loads of floors and plenty of named designers to chose from.

Not as enjoyable as Macy's but worth a visit- good bag selection but be prepared to pay serious money here, not the best for bargain hunting but an iconic store if you like your fashion.

One of the largest menswear sections I've seen. It gets very busy though, so it was not very comfortable if you are keen for a slow browsing session. I'd rather just go to a boutique store where you will get more personal service

It is easily accessible from Park Avenue which makes it a welcome alternative from the shops on street level. Especially during the cold weather we had when we where there. Great selection as Bloomingdales allways have. From cheaper stuff to more high end articles.

We were taking in the Christmas lights and went inside Bloomingdales to do some shopping. It is a very big store.

Waited ages to be served not at all how I imagined it, it's like expensive market stalls grouped under one roof.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
