Did not managed to try the food here :(

Visited the place with 2 other friends. However, as one of them did not have a jacket (he was wearing just a T-shirt), we were not able to enter. Looked from outside, the place... read more

A friend recommended we go here for a treat and it was. We went in after lunch on a Friday to avoid the rush-hour and got a seat in the nearest corner on the left as you arrive in. Service was good and surroundings were plush but with a certain amount of wear and tear showing on the furniture. There... More

Run down, dirty, and poorly light. As walking tourists, we were denied entry because I had on a plain black tee shirt and tee shirts supposedly are not allowed. Are you kidding me? There were maybe three couples in the place and one gentlemen that was being served had on a gray tee shirt. I questioned why he was being... More

I have been here so many times with friends, business associates, and dates and have already had a great time. It is a great place to travel back in time and enjoy cocktail and take in the ambiance. They are closing, so get there while you can!! After, go to the Michael Jordan Steakhouse for dinner

Visited the place with 2 other friends. However, as one of them did not have a jacket (he was wearing just a T-shirt), we were not able to enter. Looked from outside, the place is clean and not crowdy. The control and management of crowd is done outside so the place is not too cluttered with people. Definitely looks good... More

The Campbell Apartment is truly one of my favorite bars. With its historical location, classic list of well-crafted cocktails, impeccable service, and beautifully dressed servers, we always have to stop here. Its especially nice to enjoy the outdoor area in pleasant weather. We are going to miss this classy joint so very much.

We had to come and have a last drink before they shut it down. A true NYC piece of history. Prohibition drinks and speak easy style. We will miss it.

SO glad my husband and I got a chance to come here before it closes. Such a rich piece of history that is being taken away like a lot of things in New York; because the rent is too high. The MTA priced the rest so high that they purposefully pushed this piece of NYC history out. It's really unfortunate.... More

This beauty of architecture elegantly displays New York of a bygone era. Visit like you mean it: dress up! (note: strict dress code). The AC cannot handle the people, the drinks are expensive, the seating reserved...but the old skool quality of the beverages, the little black dress and pearls/white coats of the servers, and the secret doors (and safe) contribute... What a great bar. Cool decor, long history and great drinks. Unfortunately the life of this bar will end on 7/31/2016. If you get a chance, make it over there. It will be busy since many others are trying to get their last drink before the tap ends. It's tough getting good photos, but it's a cool place to hang... More

Hurry up, Grand Central’s Campbell Apartment is closing. This has been a piece of NYC history since 1923. It became an elegant bar in 1999 with cocktails from a different era like Prohibition Punch and Robber Baron. There is a dress code (no tennis shoes, tshirts, baseball caps, shorts, torn jeans or sweatshirts) which helps preserve the ambiance. The décor... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
