We were in New York to celebrate Valentine's Day weekend with some friends and decided to take a bus tour of downtown Manhattan, since we have been to the city multiple times, but have never taken one before. Our tour guide, Allan France made the experience a memorable one from start to finish! He was enthusiastic, humorous, and very knowledgable... More

Lots of problems with earphones working throughout the whole bus. Finally said they had to change buses and everyone had to get off at 911 memorial or Staten Island.

I would advise you not to use this company for city tours. First, we were told that we could take 4 tours without getting off the bus. False. For each tour you have to get off 1 bus and find the next one. The next issue is that no one has a consistent answer. One guide says "go there" for... More

I have used Gray Line on my last couple of visits to NYC. This time however from the 6 times I actually used the bus for downtown/uptown tours, 1 had no guide at all, just a recorded commentary, one was not understandable due to strong Asian accent (who insisted on telling us how long it would take to walk from... Asked for a 72 hour ticket from Samuel (supervisor on Broadway) just after 9am Saturday. Was given and shown the dates saying that it was. On the Monday we were told it had expired and it was only a 48 hour ticket. Saw Samuel again and complained. He told us they were indeed 3 day tickets for the Saturday, Sunday... More

All the tour operators I had I couldn't fault. They were very informative and helpful. Except for the ladies at the hop on hop off ferry who just had no interest in there job what's so ever and I thought they were rude so ended up catching the Staten Island ferry to see the Statue of Liberty. If you do... More

We took this tour from Times Square after a gentleman stopped us to sell us tickets , he told us he is on commission and has to sell. We bought from him which was cheaper than the advertised price. We boarded at times Square and got off at Macy's, that was our first part of the tour for us ,... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
