I was overwhelmed with the pleasure of learning on the spot. Zim was an excellent teacher. She was fun, informative, patient, and overall the BEST! Photography is a hobby and Im still learning. My husband and I spent the weekend in the city as a Anniversary Get away. Having a lesson with a "Hands On" experience, it enabled me to... More

What a great activity. My wife and I took the NY after dark safari together. My wife is a novice photographer and I am an experienced photo enthusiast and Ziim our instructor made the entire experience educational and memorable for both of us at our level of experience. Zim was able to teach, show us through hands on instruction with... More

I travel to NY on business regularly and often have a free afternoon on one of my days. Knowing this, my wife recently purchased a Photo Safari gift certificate as a birthday present for me. I took the Iconic New York tour with Zim and it was great. Zim showed me lots of tips and tricks and my photos are... More

New York Photo Safari was a really excellent use of few hours of my time to improve my photography. Zim is an excellent communicator and instructor and you can really tell that she is passionate about photography. More importantly for those taking her safari, she is really passionate about teaching her students! I am a relative amateur and she taught... More

I was going to be in NY at the end of October and in the months prior, they were amazing in trying to bend over backwards to fit their tour schedule to fit my schedule. I was probably driving them crazy with E Mails. If that was not enough then I had many E Mails exchanges with Zim who went out... More

I decided to try the Iconic New York tour with Zim as my first trip through the Metropolitan Museum with the Photo Safari went so well. It was a fabulous 3 hours. The weather cooperated so we got some great shots - my previous attempts at some of these buildings/sites were awful. Zim showed me how to get the right... More

My company used the services of NYCPS for a photography tour of New York City and I was extremely impressed by the professionalism of the workshop leader Zim. Our photography group came away from the 3 hour workshop with valuable information, I would highly recommend New York City Photo Safari to everyone - we shall be using their services again... More

We gave one of the tours (the High Line) to our 19-year-old son as a gift, and he really enjoyed it. He is not new to photography, but he still gained valuable experience and tips from Zim, especially regarding how to get those shots where there didn't seem to be any good angle. Highly recommended!

Dear Snooray, Thank you for taking the time to write a positive review. We're glad to hear that everyone had a great experience. Out of the box thinking is something our instructors try to emphasize! On a recent visit to NYC I signed up to do the 2.5 hour photo safari in Central Park with Zim. She is amazing - a great sense of humour, really knowledgeable, fun, and highly informative. What else can I say. I loved it, and learned a little more about my Canon Elph, and how to take better photos. No... More

I stayed in NYC for 3 days by myself for photography. I do not know the city at all, so I thought it would be a good idea to go around the city with somebody who knows. I took one at the metropolitan museum. I was very positively shocked with the way Zim guided me around. I love straight and... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
