This place does give you a good mani/pedi however it is not really the 'height' of luxury, I think if you expect to get good service and be in and out it is a great experience, but if you want to indulge more than I would suggest another location perhaps or another spa.

I could give minus stars if I could. You thing a salon with that name in the middle of New York City on 5th ave its really nice, WRONG!!! I had a gift card so I went to get my hair done. I usually get highlights and my hair is long, strait, (and at this time one color) so I... More

The Olive Oil manicure and pedicure is my favorite nail treatment at any spa, and I have been to many, many spas and salons in both the United States and Europe. Not only are the products wonderful, but also the nail technicians at the Red Door are incredibly skilled and very mindful of cleanliness, which is absolutely important to me.... More

I had a wonderful manicure and pedicure with Hope. She was friendly, thorough, professional and gave me one of the best manicure/pedicures I've ever had. Great experience. Then I decided to get a shampoo/blow dry and my hair looked worse after it was finished than when I walked in. The young woman who did it was extremely nice but it... More

Booked a girls weekend in NYC, We booked massage, facial, manicure and makeup package. The spa was running way behind schedule. They only had one make-up artist there and we were three ladies. Our appointments were scheduled to start at 2 pm and we did not leave the spa until after 8. The treatments were wonderful! Would have been perfect... More

I booked a Swedish massage with Tami this morning. I've been for several Swedish massages at this location and they were all excellent but Tami was awesome! I left there feeling more relaxed than ever. Thank you, Tami!

Have been to several spas over the years and this one was pretty average in comparison to some of the better ones. Woman receptionist was not cheerful or friendly and was quick to send us to the waiting area. Sat in waiting area for a bit longer than usual as one of the therapists in our couples massage was running... More

I've gotten a few blow outs at the blow out bar and a couple of pedicures. This is where I come to splurge on a nice pedicure. Quite relaxing, they give you a warm neck pillow scented with cinnamon and nutmeg. Everything is very clean. Humberto always does a beautiful blow out. He's my go to. Tip: you can ask... More

I visited the Red Door Spa on 5th Avenue as an early Christmas present as I had always wanted to go there. When I arrived I was shown into the changing rooms which were rather cramped with little privacy which seemed a pity. From there I was taken to their relaxation area, which was lovely decorated in chocolate browns, warm... More

Went on a Saturday morning for shampoo, blow dry and make up application. This was the Fifth Ave location. The staff was very courteous. My hairdresser's name was Roman and he did a nice job. I don't remember my makeup artist name but she did a great job on smokey eyes with las application ($4 extra). Took a little longer... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
