There's an amazing audio walking tour app called TellBetter with a free tour of Battery Park. Has great sound effects and music. Really brings the place to life with great storytelling. Starts in Bowling Green park. Covers Castle Clinton, the Statue of Liberty, and awesome sorties I never heard before like Jenny Lind and the Black Tom explosion. Fascinating. Just search TellBettter in the app store.

My daughter and I biked to this area from her apartment. Very nice biking trails. You can see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island from this area. The area is very clean and well maintained.

This is a nice place to visit for the views alone. If you are able to be here on a clear day, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island are good photo opportunities. The memorials to the military are a nice touch as well. We were able to have a little pit stop at the restaurant on the water, so if you have time, it's worth it.

This is lovely park located in the south tip of Manhattan. We were there on a sunny day and had a great view of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Looking inland, there is the One World Centre. It is also a relatively quiet place where you can sit and relax and watch the world go by or just walk around the grounds on a quiet evening and enjoy the gardens.
