Very unique subway and/or walking experiences available as part of a public...

Very unique subway and/or walking experiences available as part of a public tour or as a private tour that is different from most standard guided food tours. We also offer self-guided On Your Own Experiences which are food walk-throughs of various New York neighborhoods and are designed to help save you money over eating in tourist restaurants. We are a true eating tour, not a sampling tour and we also offer restaurant recommendations (as noted in many reviews) on our guided tours to help you eat well and save money for the rest of your trip. You choose what you eat and how much. You'll see non-tourist neighborhoods in a relaxed manner and while on the guided tours you will be mingling with others from around the world in a larger group format. For those who do want to experience great restaurants and save money we offer our Customized Restaurant Concierge Service. This is a personal service available through TripAdvisor based on your lodging location, attractions you are seeing, food preferences and budget. To experience a culture one must experience their cuisine and since New York is the world's melting pot its many cuisines is its shared culture. Food On Foot Tours takes visitors beyond the tourist attractions to the largest buffet in the world, New York. You'll see the neighborhoods where New Yorkers live and eat. You'll share our passion for all things New York and travel the way New Yorkers do, by subway and foot.

I forget exactly which tour it was. On the east side at any rate. Super! GREAT formula, good variation of foods, GREAT information and knowledge of not only foods over ALL of Manhattan, but also various other tourist interests. Clear, easy guidelines to making it a successful experience and great socializing with others from all over the world. Certainly worth... More

We were looking forward to seeing what Cory had for us and we weren't disappointed. We did the midtown tour and truly enjoyed meeting him again and of course talking with others from Australia, Germany and the USA. 1 guy from Columbia could barely speak English be he did very well with everyone's help. He was going to see the... More

All you need is an apetite and some New York bustle and you'll never be disappointed. For a visitor it can take a while to understand the New York food scene, but in a couple of hours and a few quick stops you will end understand how the locals eat. No bad chains, over-priced tourist destinations. The old adage is... More

I joined the tour alone and was made to feel part of the group almost immediately. The guide was informative and knowledgeable, not just about food but about NYC generally. Highly recommend for anyone who loves food and wants to discover a bit more about the city.

Ever decided to eat somewhere based on nothing more than the menu in the window, only to come away feeling disappointed and ripped off? It's no wonder folks settle for mediocre chain restaurants. That won't happen to us in NYC any more! Corey brought us to several places where the food is delicious and inexpensive. We sampled falafel, pizza, tacos... More

First time on a food tour of any description and truth be known only went on this as it was included in the New York City Pass, BUT am so glad we did. We went on the tour on our first full day in NY, Corey, our guide, owner and pretty much everything was a great character. Make sure you... More

I went on the midtown food tour and it was not only delicious, but interesting, and fun. Corey handled a large group of us efficiently and encouraged interaction between the participants. The food stops were well curated and Corey gave us tips on ordering. He completely changed my idea of what New York pizza was. One of the sweet stops... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
