Can’t do better than Direct you to Carolyn H review below which so captured the atmosphere of an area we’ve enjoyed visiting over the years

Some lament that it's not as interesting as it once was, that every new store is a character free bank or drug store, but there's still plenty to discover on a stroll through this area, up Amsterdam, down Columbus, or across the quiet side streets,...More

The Upper West Side is a tad off the beaten track, but it's one part of Manhattan that welcomes families. We stayed there with our son who works in the financial district -- not on Wall Street, but very close. He often walks to work....More

I have always been a fan of the upper west side versus the upper east side of Manhattan. Older pre-war buildings, better views of Central Park, Museum row and the Hudson river all within walking distance. More "old money" also on display. Restaurants, boutiques, shops...More

You wouldn't believe this is Manhattan. Very peaceful, quiet. Lots of brownstones to look at, beautiful architecture. Lot of exploring to do around there. you can walk from the 65th street all the way to 85th street and not even know it.

Different type of neighbourhood to explore from Midtown. Shopping and eating options, as well as tourist sights etc. Easy walking up Broadway from Columbus Circle, or from the west side of Central Park. Smaller Century 21 store is here, as well as Banana Republic and...More

I love New York City and this is a historic area that feels so quiet compared to the hustle and bustle of the city. It is a great area to see and probably a great place to live.

Upper West Side
Nestled between Central Park and the Hudson River, the
Upper West Side offers iconic architecture and a
quiet, residential respite from the buzzing energy of
downtown. Along Central Park West are many of the
city’s most iconic apartment buildings, as well as the
American Museum of Natural History, which has been
welcoming visitors to its historic exhibit halls for
over 140 years. Culture fans will love Lincoln Center,
