- Jeffry bEssendon, Australia13,838 contributionsSee you on BroadwayBroadway is a very long street that begins in Lower Manhattan, then runs north for almost the entire length of Manhattan Island. Features of Broadway include Trinity Church, which is at the corner of Wall St and Broadway. Alexander Hamilton is buried in the Trinity Church graveyard. Around Times Square, Broadway lights up at night. In this area, "Broadway" means the theatrical district, and the phrase "on Broadway" may not mean exactly that. Broadway at night is a marvelous experience of glitz and glamor. One well-known feature is the Naked Cowboy, who can usually be found performing in Times Square.Visited November 2022Written 24 December 2022
- Jenny G14 contributionsSaw many shows, worth the money!Saw The Rockettes Christmas Spectacular which was ....spectacular! Saw The Play That Goes Wrong which was so hilarious. Probably our fave! Saw the Blue Man Group which was interactive and full of variety. Simple intriguing and delightful. See Broadway and experience. No regrets!!Visited December 2022Written 14 January 2023
- chio888Cancun, Mexico3 contributionsEverything I hoped forI went basically to watch 2 Brodway shows. The Phantom of the opera, which I've wanted to watch for more than 20 years and it is ending in April. And Funny Girl, since I am a big fan of the 1968 movie and Lea Michele fan, and she will be playing the role only until May.Visited February 2023Written 24 February 2023
- veteran_vacationerElgin, Illinois16 contributionsA Fun Experience Day or NightI stumbled across the iconic "Broadway/Times Square" by accident on my way to a shoe store. The buildings and video boards are amazing. The people watching was great as well. My first experience there was during the day, and it was just as impressive as when I went back the next evening. Any time is a great time to see this.Visited March 2023Written 15 March 2023
- JoeNathan9249Saint Paul, Minnesota6,061 contributionsFascinating street - runs through heart of Theater districtThis is one of the great streets in a great city. It runs from the top to bottom of Manhattan. Walking along it, you see some of the best & worst of America. Strongly recommend walking this street while in NYC.Visited April 2023Written 11 April 2023
- David SMiddlesbrough, United Kingdom1,712 contributionsICONIC AND MANICPrimarily in Midtown, the area is both frantic and mesmerising at the same time. A relatively easy 20 minute walk from the cruise ship terminal and well worth the effort to get there to soak up the ambiance. My wife and I visited New York for two days as part of a larger trip and really enjoyed the opportunity to visit Broadway. The number of big show events is staggering.Visited May 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 9 June 2023
- Thomas VOakland, California16,394 contributionsNew Little ParkletsThis diagonal street crosses much of Manhattan and takes you through many neighborhoods. One recent excellent change is the creation of little plazas that are closed to traffic right in the middle of big intersections. Chairs and tables and you have an instant cafe in the middle of a lot of activity. Brilliant! Check out Herald Square.Visited May 2023Written 30 July 2023
- EyekaytooLeverkusen, Germany2,996 contributionsBusy, busy, busyWe came here a couple of times back in June to take in the overall atmosphere and all the billboards advertising the latest shows on this famous part of Manhattan. It's all pretty busy here at most times of the day. In the evenings you have theatre guests milling around as they move to the shows they decided to see. I went to the Golden Theatre earlier in the day to see if they had any of the advertised cheaper seats to see Jodie Cromer in Prima Facie. They hadn't... I, for one, found the ticket prices ridiculously expensive. But that didn't stop my son shelling out on a ticket to see the Lion King at the Minksoff theatre. He enjoyed this musical immensely and even bought some of the merchandises. The streets around here are bustling with many street vendors selling fast food, drinks etc. All very lively.Visited June 2023Written 13 August 2023
- Suzanna1 contributionFantastic! My partner and I went to go and see Six whilst staying in New York. I absolutely loved it! The music was fantastic and the girls were extremely talented. It is not your typical theatre show as there are not any prop/costume changes. However, it is really fun and an easy watch musical. I thoroughly recommend and I would happily see it again!Visited August 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 16 August 2023
- therichastillStevenage, United Kingdom2,556 contributionsFame, Fame, Fatal FameBroadway is a road you automatically associate with Times Square and theatres. Indeed it bisects 42nd Street and this is where Times Square is located and it is in the theatre district but the road goes much longer. It starts in Union Square further South and goes to Columbus Circle and then up the Upper West Side to Washington Heights. There are lots different things to see as you go along the road depending on whereabouts in the city you are.Visited October 2023Travelled soloWritten 1 November 2023

THIS IS NOT A MUSICAL. It's a 75 minute (no intermission bc its so short) of six women who each sing a song. No story. No costume changes. No set changes. It's another "lesson" that Broadway needs to "teach you" about "white male patriarchy." They actually say it in the show. No interpretation needed. I do not go the theatre or entertainment events to be "schooled." This seems to be a theme for the last 10 years or so. Skip it! Not worth the $$$

First of all, The Neil Diamond singer was very good. Diamond has a voice that is unique to him, and the singer did a good job duplicating it. However, that's about as far as it goes. The old guy portraying Neil was pretty much a flop. Because of his role, (not him) the show drug out too long and didn't really have much purpose. Part of my disappoint was it was a musical with not much storyline. Also, I guess I was thinking it would be more like a regular concert and that's my problem. I would've like to have seen the band more than just a couple or three songs. One final note about the venue. I am a 6' man that wears a size 38 waist. I literally had to use my arms to squeeze out of the seat. I used my hands to estimate the distance between arm rests and figured out that the distance was 14". I would not recommend this to my friends.

This production has everything you could want in a Broadway musical— fabulous singing, amazing music, catchy and passionate tunes, huge dance numbers, flashy costumes and a wonderful amount of tap dancing all created with a fabulous cast and production staff. The overall story was the same as the plot of the original film with the same name, with a slight twist at the end to honor non-binary individuals and inclusion— perfectly blended in.
I left the theater amazed by the amount of raw talent and entertainment I had just witnessed, still wanting more.

This play was amazing. I knew a lot of Neil Diamond's music, but I didn't know much about his personal background. The cast members were great and it was fun when the whole audience sang along to Sweet Caroline. I would highly recommend this play to everyone. It was "so good, so good, so good."

This a MUST DO for any Broadway fans! Beautifully done, and lots of wonderful memorabilia to see. Interactive too.
Staff were welcoming and helpful. Store had great merchandise options.
Felt the price was a bit high per person. But enjoyed it and would recommend to others.

So good! It just needs two words.
This show from the onset had great energy. You could feel it around you. I sang to every song and I felt like Neil was present. This show you can't see it once. You have to go back because it's so good, so good.

If you really want to see a show, yes. There's no telling if you can find tickets for your particular night, on show day. If you want to guarantee a seat on that night, get the rockets as early as possible.

Hi! My friends and I are visiting NYC and want to see a Broadway show. We looked and agreed on "Mrs. Doubtfire" which is a new and upcoming musical. However, we're only in the city during its preview timeframe. We're there March 18-22, so about 10-14 days into their preview schedule.
What difference is the Broadway preview to the actual post-opening show?
Like, is it closer to as if we're in their rehearsal studio, with interrupted director cuts, and on-off music pause to correct lines/dances, etc? Or is it closer to an actual show, where, sure there are some minor [sometimes un-noticeable] mistakes not to be directed until after the show, etc.? I hope I'm making sense...
Will appreciate your answers!

It's the show. Only before it considers itself ready to be reviewed. Tickets are usually less expensive. Sometimes an understudy will replace a lead. But don't worry. I'm sure you'll enjoy.

Hands down, TodayTix is great - the web page or app for Broadway, Off-Broadway, London’s West End, Sydney, Chicago, and on and on. In New York and London, I always use the app. Either way, you see up-to-date pricing and seat availability, reduced prices and lottery seats, closing dates, and upcoming shows. A head-spinning sweep of shows you’ve heard about and great shows you haven’t heard about — yet!

In the middle of Times Square go to the TKTS booth. You can get discounted same day tickets for Broadways plays and musicals. Also off Broadway too.
