Beautiful Double decker bridge, suspension bridge- 4 lanes in each direction. Links the States of New Jersey (Ft. Lee) and New York (Manhattan - Washington Heights) across the Hudson river. Some of the most fantastic views of the Palisades Cliffs and New York City. the Bridge is the most busiest bridge in the world, handling commuters and truck traffic .... More

The GWB is a wonderful, beautiful bridge. If it's your FIRST time driving into Manhattan take the LOWER level... Why? Because the views of the city are unobstructed from the lower level whereas the upper level walkway rails are right at passenger eye level so you can't really see the city. If you have a chance sometime, exit at the... More

One of my favorite sights of Uptown Manhattan. Nice to look at during the day, extremely beautiful at night.

One of many ways to get from NJ to NYC, a trip across the bridge offers a beautiful view up and down the Hudson River.

This amazing bridge has a span which catches you by surprise. There are many bridges which I'd say you have to see in NYC....this one is overlooked when folks are 'ticking the must see' list....yet it should be right up there.

If you have enought time to see upper Manhattan, don't miss the Met Cloisters museum& the Washington Bridge. They are quite close to each other and the view is wonderful.

This is a beautiful bridge with sweeping views of New Jersey and New York. In my lifetime I have probably been over it 1,000 plus times. That said, if it is a holiday, rush hour or an accident has occurred people have been known to experience a lot of stress due to being stuck for hours.

This was an impressive way for final exit from New York, and although it was busy there were no real delays. To be on a bridge with 2 levels and traffic seemingly coming up from below was an amazing experience and the construction beyond belief. The views were amazing from the upper deck.

I have visited NY many times, and is my first walk on the Washington Bridge upper deck. As expected, it was crowded, but not chaotic. The views of the Hudson River and the skyline were amazing. Families, couples, solos from many countries...and if you wished to perpetuate the momento, always someone willing to take your picture. Beautiful!!
