All reviews andy karl huge fan of the movie creative team stage craft classic movie male lead amazing production supporting cast standing ovation set design whole family broadway show all ages new york staging scenes songs
Andy Karl’s performance was well-worth the time & money we invested. The musical is fast-paced. So, even though there’s some repetition by reliving Groundhog’s Day many times over, it’s done in such a quick and clever way that keeps it fresh & funny each time....More
This satirical musical, filled with sharp humoristic lines keeps you laughing all the way through. We went last-minute (5 minutes before opening time) and were able to buy pretty great seats for 50 dollars each.
The moving stage while the time stops running is irony...More
It was slick, funny, emotional, skilled, well acted and it really drew us in. We were in awe of the skills of the cast. It was not schmaltzy thank goodness. The whole family (12-59) loved it. A delight. Would see it again if it is...More
Saw that show is closing soon, so took our son last night (he is a BIG fan of the movie). We were not disappointed. Great story well told in Broadway stage setting. Actors are perfectly cast and each brings a real excitement and personality to...More

This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the
affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

As already mentioned the tkts booth sells discount tickets. For Groundhog Day, the tickets tend to be 40-50% always. You can buy same day tickets at Times Square, and next day matinee tickets at Lincoln center Seaport, and Brooklyn.
However, the way I got to see Groundhog Day at a ridiculously cheap price was by entering the lottery. Groundhog Day isn't the most popular show currently, so if you enter the online ticket lottery for the show and win, you will be able to purchase some of the best tickets in the theater for only $40. I recently won, and got to pick my seats, which was the best part, because at the TKTS booth, you can't pick your seats, and have to trust the system. I ended up sitting in row L of the side orchestra on the aisle closest to the center, so the view was fantastic, whereas sitting in that seat without the discount would have cost around 170 Dollars.
The way the Jujamcyn lottery system works is you can enter for shows up to a week away, and will be notified if you have won the day before the performance. If you have won, you can purchase tickets online with a special discount code and be able to choose your seats. The only downside is there is no guarantee that you will win, and winners will be able to buy 1-2 tickets, but no more than that, which makes this a bad option if you want to take your family.
What you choose to do is up to you, but I hope that this helped!
