Great play, loved it and great portrayal of this era of kids and family. Good understanding of our life and how we can change it.

Everything about this production was first rate!....The acting, singing, set design, everything was top shelf! There isn't a person alive who won't be able to identify with any or all parts of this story-line....after the first act, we wondered,..."what could they possibly do to follow...More

Absolutely loved this play. Very talented cast, great orchestra and really thought provoking story!! Our seats were real nose bleeds but still a decent view of the stage. Highly recommend!

Extremely well acted, choreographed and well written play that challenges us to examine our prejudices and develop a deeper understanding of ourselves and others. It uses suicide to teach us understanding and to offer hope to all to hang in there. It will get better....More

I admit, expectations were high. But I just didn’t connect enough with the characters or story to want to highly recommend it. The lead actor (playing Evan Hanson) was really really good at playing “awkward”. Storyline was good, and not completely predictable. Be prepared that...More

This was one of the best Broadway musicals I have seen in a long time. Loved the theme, and sub themes woven throughout -- family love, influence of social media, single parenthood, isolation/being an outcast. The music was also fabulous. This is the type of...More

Themes resonate perhaps because setting is contemporary America with social media. The playwright connected with sensitivity and truthfulness. Actors absolutely fabulous. Theatre itself is intimate and allowed ticket holders in 30 min prior to performance time - and performance began right on time !

My mother and I went into this show not knowing quite what to expect. Needless to say, the show exceeded whatever expectations we did have. My mom definitely cried during the first act and dare I say sobbed during the second. The Evan Hansen we...More

I think at the last count I've seen well over 200 musicals - and this is without doubt in the top ten or fifteen. It deals with quite complex, emotive and sensitive subjects in an engrossing manner , pulling the audience member along in a...More

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the show. It was really a sad show though. You know, we forget what it is like to be a teenager, and all of the issues they have to deal with. When I was a teenager we didn’t have...More

Although the theme is quite heavy, the presentation is not. Personally, I would be more concerned about them understanding the story line and staying interested than I would about the suicide theme. But that is just my... More
