A Must See for Every American!
This is awe inspiring memorial to the people that lost their lives on 9/11. Plan for at least half a day to walk to the museum. I would definitely recommend you take a tour as there’s a lot to hear about and see. The tour that starts at the cathedral is probably one of the better ones just Google it.

    On top of the world
I would have been happy to give this a five except for the price. $45 is just too steep, and you can pay a lot more than that with useless add-ons. I paid less as a veteran and my family received 20% off. It was still $100 for us to go in and ride the incredibly fast elevator to the top. I feel for bad for those who didn't qualify for a discount. I will say that the 360° panoramic views are spectacular and rarely got blocked from the presence of so many tourists midsummer. Forgot about eating there; a cheeseburger will set you back $32.

You MUST go to the TOP!
We did the All-Access 9/11: Ground Zero Tour, Memorial and Museum, which includes a trip to the top of One World Observatory! This was such an experience and the views are the BEST in the entire city! It rained the day we were there and yet you could not get over the views! Gift shops with food options include a light café and a beautiful sit-down restaurant and bar area. For an additional $15 you can rent a locator pad which gives you the names of all the buildings, bridges and sites in the surrounding area. We will always visit the top of this beautiful building each time we are in NYC.

Plenty of time to take in the great views!
It’s not cheap, but what is great is that once you are up there, you can stay as long as you want. We bought a ticket on site for 3pm. We were warned there could be an hour queuing, but in the event we were up at the viewing platform in less than 20 mins. The views were great and we stayed until after sunset and then were able to see the city by night too. Didn’t visit any other sky scrappers in the city, but some reviews complained of long lines and limited time up top. So One WTC seems a good option!

Rebuilt World Trade Center with Excellent Observation Deck
One World Trade Center is the main building of the rebuilt World Trade Center complex that was attacked by terrorists on 9/11. It stands on the site of the former 6 WTC building. It is the tallest building in the United States and in the Western Hemisphere. At the base is the poignant and moving 9/11 Memorial and there is a terrific 3 story Observation Deck on the 100th-102nd floor offering incredible views of the city.

My friend and I booked the VIP tour through Get Your Guide. The day that we went it was no visibility, but we didn’t have time to reschedule so we decided to give it a chance. I am so glad we did!! We obviously didn’t get to see the views, but our tour guide Mitch was super knowledgeable and gave us a great history not only of the building but New York City as a whole. After our tour my friend and I both were so glad we kept our reservation because we learned so much! Considering the tickets were $60, and comparing that to other experiences such as SUMMIT One Vanderbilt, I would say this tour was 100% worth it, and it only gets better when you can see the skyline. Thank you so much to Mitch for an amazing tour, great food recommendations, and wonderful flexibility with the bad weather!!

Fabulous views, possibly the best we witnessed regrettably it was missing something, it felt empty somehow, maybe it was visiting the pod right after the 911 museum.

The view and experience overall are awesome, once you get past the line troll at the entrance. I understand that preferred entrance should get a shorter line, but they should not be moved into the standard line. If you cant staff enough to run 2 lines (premium and standard) then offer one standard option. When i questioned the little short man running the line he threatened to have me kicked out stating he was the manager. What a jerk and typical of an insecure person with a little authority being a tool...it was an awesome visit but this little short person needs some better way to pump themselves up other than be mean to tourists paying his salary.

I have visited New York before and had the privilege of visiting the Twin Towers. I booked this as it’s the highest tower in the Western Hemisphere and wanted my children to experience it. The walk to the lift was great, looking at the bedrock and not too busy. Liked the lift video and when you get to the top, there is a great video, then the blinds drop to reveal the view, but by the time you grab your camera, you’ve been moved on. I then felt it was one queue after another to try and get more money out of you. The first to see your tickets again to see if you want to upgrade, the second for a photo and it was a large queue, then an iPad if you pay extra. You can’t take photos of the views due to the privacy blinds. By the time you’ve been shuffled through the queues, you are then on your way two floors down, where you can take as many photos as you want. I felt the shop at the end was way too expensive and in all the ‘experience’ a bit soul less.

A very new and modern skyscraper and office building but also a memorial and tribute to those lost on 9/11/01. Built on the same grounds that the world trade center once stood, the building features a memorial and is a monument to the fallen.

After the awful attack on the twin towers in 2001 the buildings were removed and as far as I was aware there was a memorial put in its place. I did not know that a new World Trade Center had been built.

When I visited in October 2023 I felt the solemnity of the nearby memorial but the new building gave me hope. That rebuilding is possible after devastation and that we can move on.

The building is a very grand affair and stands out on the Manhattan skyline. Long may it reign.
