Lets face it, New York tours are only as good as their tour guides. Real New York Tours gives people the opportunity to see the city through the eyes of real New Yorkers. Real New York Tours explores the history, the cracks and crevices, the side streets, and culture of real New York neighborhoods. We’ll ride the New York subway, pound the pavement, and meet the people who have become the fabric of this great city. Together we will feel the electricity that drives everyday New Yorkers. We enjoyed the 3hr tour with our guide Jeanette on 28th Dec 2016. Starting from Greenwich Village which is so unique on Manhattan to the hustle and bustle of Soho, Little Italy, Chinatown and finally finishing at St Pauls near One World Observatory. The tour was so informative and gave us a greater understanding of the heritage, cultures and development... More

Three of us did a private 6 hour tour with Greg. Greg was the perfect tour guide and made sure to focus on things we were interested in like tv locations and art work and pointing out good coffee and food! It really felt like a friend was taking you around the city. We stayed in Brooklyn, where Greg came... More

We only had one day and took a serious bite of the Big Apple. We walked for miles and enjoyed the company of our guide, who went out of her way to show us cool stuff based on our interests. When we parted, she helped us navigate towards our final destination. She provided history, information about buildings, and all kinds... More

Our family, including a 14 and nine-year-old, did the private 6 hour Manhattan tour and it was, hands-down, the best thing we did on our visit to New York City. Ben was an amazing tour guide! He was professional and a wealth of information but relaxed and easy to talk to. He was able to tailor our tour just for... More

Whether you're a hardened regular visitor or a New York Virgin, you'll enjoy the Real New Yorker Tour. What's not to like with your own personalised guide to the city that never sleeps? We were in NYC 20-years ago and so much has changed so we booked and met Ben at our hotel at 10am. We'd already pre-provided an ambitious... More

Want to avoid the waist gain while learning things about New York City that even the natives don't know?? Skip Thanksgiving and walk the streets with Real New York Tours! This was worth every dollar spent. Trey (our tour guide) was enlightening and entertaining in the same breathe. "Its too cold!" to take a tour of NYC during late Fall,... More

The three of us did the six-hour Big Apple private tour, with Ian as our guide. Real New York Tours made everything easy for us, and Ian was exceptional! He was personable and very knowledgeable, answered all our questions, and worked hard to tailor the tour to exactly what we were interested in! Ian went well beyond just being our... More

If you've never been to New York this tour is the absolute must do! Coming from our country Queensland town and getting off the plane in New York is worlds apart, it was like stepping onto another planet! Mad cab and transfer drivers, horns beeping, emergency sirens 24/7 this place is nuts! Wonderful but nuts! We had the wonderful Jeanette... More

Shawn was our guide for a private tour. He was knowledgeable and we all agreed that the tour was well worth doing. Plenty of detailed information and we certainly walked a fair bit of central New York, discovering more than would be possible from a bus.

Context: We've had private tours in Paris, Pisa, and China. Lawrence was our tour guide. We did the private tour of half apple midtown. I have lived in Queens, and my wife is from NYC. Wow- thank you so much for your review. It really makes me happy when guests feel we've gone above and beyond. Lawrence is a top-notch guide and I'm really happy we met your expectations. Next time, we'd love to show you lower Manhattan- where there's even more history and secret spots to uncover. Hope to see you again soon! More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
