I remember back in the day going to clubs in this area and it was extremely dangerous. Now, not at all as Prada has invaded. It's the influence of the High Line which dumps tons of tourists and wealthy walkers right into this area to...More

We have seen the changes here from a true meat packing district to the trendy shops and restaurants and it’s still a great place to explore

Less glizzy in terms of the buildings, but interesting trendy boutiques and eateries ... it gives you a feel of how immigrants lived in the 1800s ... real working class vibes ... also some cool street art

The Meatpacking District used to be super popular in the mid 2000's. It was famous due to amazing restaurants and the famous Ganzevoort Hotel, where Sex and the City was filmed at. It still is quite popular.

A lot to see and do here. A lot of shopping, restaurants and places to grab a drink. The highline walk is a must do while in this area.

Meatpacking has a lot to offer. Some I don’t care for like the clubby restaurants and bars. But some good food, shopping, and other activities. Ample hills is delicious. Some street artists. And the Whitney.

Use mass transit. It can be awful to walk in the hot summer all those city blocks. You can rent a bicycle.
