Amazing exhibitions and absolutely fascinating. You need to see this to understand New York's amazing patchwork culture. I can't believe more people don't come here. Brilliant for those few that do!

Beautiful villa which does not seem to home a small, modern museum. Teenagers up to the age of 19 are free, adults pay $14, as a suggestion, the museum is donation financed. We spent a good 1 hour there and particularly enjoyed the 1st floor...More

What a wonderful place. There is a history of the city and how it developed but also displays about different various aspects of city life through the ages. NYC in WWI, AIDS in the city, protest movements including against prohibition, the suffragette movement, dance in...More

We started with the video which was great. It showed the development of the city through a collage of film and photographs. The other highlight for us was the special exhibit about protest in New York through the ages up to the present day. We...More

Best parts of the museum were a 20 minute video of the history of NYC, the social protest history of NYC, and several pieces of historical sterling pieces, most notably of Tiffany contribution Two hours at most.
