My son and I walked along the water at South Street Seaport the morning we arrived in NY. You can see lots of boats and helicopters taking people all over NY. There is a Seaport TKTS booth here that has a much shorter line than the one in Times Square. If you are looking for discount Broadway tickets and are... More

For meager fee of $12 we got an hour long informative tour of the vessels at the Seaport. Katie was very knowledgeable. Not all of the museum has reopened from the ravages of Super Storm Sandy. The available displays were very interesting.

This area was redeveloped a number of years ago to attract the tourists with its sea port style. Many of the restaurants and shops here are chains so they could be anywhere. I come here for the TKTS booth, but for nothing else.

Very little here now after the weather event a few years ago. A few independent restaurants and a couple of chain stores. We came years ago and there were great shops and fish restaurants, lets hope it is as good again when all of the construction is finished.

Chock full of shops and eateries, coupled with interesting nautical displays and a museum...its a nice place to spend a day, you can also catch the Circle Line ferry around Manhattan here. Indoor and outdoor mall with many good attractions.

The South Street Seaport is a little-known area to most New Yorkers, yet its historical significance is such that I wanted to talk it up. I live here and love it. The Seaport is about 5 small city blocks, defined by Pearl Street to the west, the Brooklyn Bridge to the North, John Street to the South, and Water Street... More

Prior to hurricane sandy, this place was a must for locals and tourists alike. For awhile since, it's been under construction, and partially, still is. What is open now, is really bringing this area back. A wonderful tree during the holiday season and great shops...along with Taylor swift and the ability to drink beer while walking around...will chEck it out... More

A lively place for a wander. A very interesting area to spend a few hours. Nice to get some respite from the crowds.
