The sadness prevails, but the majesty of the tribute to each soul is evident in the pools. The thought that went into creating this marvelous creation gives everyone the opportunity to honor the many who perished and NEVER FORGET! Each name has been placed as close to their demise as possible. A White Rose is placed on each name on their birthday. Visitors can put other colored flowers or flags and such perfectly in the engraving. The water is so perfectly cascading to drown out all other noises in the footprint of the biggest disaster in my lifetime. Go and honor the lost and marvel on how we are resilient and never forget.

This is a beautiful area and so peaceful even though it’s close to a busy highway. The only noise you hear really is the waterfalls on the memorials. It’s a lovely place to visit to pay respects to the people who lost their lives in 9/11

The two pools gave me goosebumps, a sad reminder of what occurred in 2001. Sad feeling for innocent lives lost, souls departed too soon . . .

No visit to the 9/11 memorial is complete without walking around the two memorial pools that stand on the spot where the Twin Towers stood. I really liked the fact that there were staff there to ensure no one put objects onto the surface where the names of those who lost their lives are etched into. I also loved how some of the names had single flowers beside them.

Enjoyed seeing the outside of the Trade Center even though we weren't able to go inside this time. Park was rather peaceful.
