It's cool that the Met and other museum are working, even at a such strict manner. Art is a huge stress relief for me!

Many rare and nice collections from different countries and eras for you to adore. I wish I could come back many times again to view all other collections that I missed last time. Museum rotates different sets and add more things every couple weeks. Nice place for the family to visit. Like their gift shop as well. …

Always a great stop for some art. Don't miss the rooftop - particularly in summer - for a drink and spectacular sunset

This is a massive museum that spans centuries and continents. First, I went during a pandemic, so it wasn’t crowded, but from what I understand, during peak tourist times, it can be packed. Right now you have to have a timed ticket and follow NY social distancing/masking/quarantine guidelines. So if you can, now is the time to see these places. I saw everything in just over four hours, but I probably only absorbed about 20 percent of it. As I’ve said about the American Museum of Natural History, which I’ve also reviewed, the best way to view this museum would be to make multiple trips and focus on one or two exhibits at a time. It took me an hour alone to get through the Egyptian exhibits, which are expensive and impressive. Probably one of my favorite exhibits. Ton of sculpture and other pieces from Rome and Greece. The sculpture corridor, where artists gather to sketch, is peaceful and a wonderful place for meditation. There is also modern art, American art, a lot of renaissance works. There is a Native American gallery, but again, with fewer pieces than I expected. The space is light and clean and lit appropriately, depending on situation, whether it be bright natural light from skylights or subdued, shadowy light. The architecture is beautiful. Overall glad I did this, but in the future, I’ll probably stick with the smaller, more manageable museums where I can really absorb the material. But if you go to NYC, everyone should see it at least once.…
