The Rockefeller Christmas tree was what attracted us to NY in December. We couldn't wait to see it on our first night. It's seen in so many movies, it must be the most famous tree in the world and it was just as magical as...More
Had to take my grandchildren to see tree while visiting NYC before Christmas. It was beautiful! They enjoyed seeing it and were in awe at how large it was and how many lights were on it. Definitely a must see if you're in NYC at...More

It's not a Christmas vacation without going to Rockefeller Center to see the tree. Too bad 2000 other people had the same idea. It is nice even with the huge crowd. One time I saw Santa ice skating down below.
Would not go on the weekend, the street is completely blocked by pedestrians watching the Sacks shop show opposite. go early in the evening on a week day and you get a wonderful photo opportunity and a nice shopping experience in the area.

This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the
affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
