We had a lovely visit. The trails are well maintained. We saw several interesting bird species. The visitor center was being remodeled but has cool tanks of live creatures.

The meeting spaces are wonderful, clean and green. They currently have some construction of a new exhibit area that will be beautiful when completed. The staff is very knowledgeable, helpful and accommodating.

The daughter of travelers, I like to travel too. Some storytellers call this "having an itchy foot". Just about the only trips I don't like to take are Guilt Trips. I don't like to go on them; I most certainly don't like to give them....More

Very nice place to walk and be out in nature. Good for birding. Be prepared for noisy people! This past Sat, one person thought he'd entertain his friends by singing as he walked. So much for appreciating nature! Recommend going early to avoid the crowds...More

I would check the website. the Cape is beautiful in the fall. I'm sure there would be some nice scenery on a walk to the water.
