You need to takeat least a day to see this museum. It was an amazing experience to see how life is on board an aircraft carrier. Lots of different planes and helicopters to see. We even experienced the Navy's band playing on deck. A lot of history shown for the history buffs. Well worth the visit!

Veterans were on hand to tour us around which was great. We spent 5 hours easily and accessed all areas of the ship.

Really a great San Diego attraction that provides fun and history. Don't Miss the video that describes in detail the heroic efforts of our World War 2 Pilots in the Pacific. Chilling. Take advantage of the docents who will provide behind the scene details on the many different parts of the ship.

I was lucky enough to meet several people who served on this ship, and the minute I walked onto her deck, I felt her spirit. This ship has such an interesting history, and such a very cool, hard to describe atmosphere, you end up walking on tiptoe even though you know she is a tough battleship. The history, stories, mechanics,... More

Enjoy the huge open space of the ship with its displays from deployments of the Midway, then climb into the close-in spaces of ladders, bunks, and finally the bridge. You should be fairly nimble and able to fit into the small passageways if you elect to do that.

I took my grandson to the USS Midway and we spent almost all day there! I never knew a ship like this was so big. My grandson especially enjoyed the upper deck where there are helicopters you can go into. There is a self-guided tour with headphones, a cafe on the rear deck and virtual reality rides. Great fun!

You could spend all day here. I spent about three hours. Unfortunately, the line to get into the "tower" was way too long so we didn't get to see that.

Fascinating history with extremely knowledgeable docents. Huge ship so even with holiday crowds no problem seeing everything. Wonderful gift shop with related souvenirs, Lovely coffee shop area with reasonable prices. The "ladders" are a bit of a challenge for anyone with walking disabilities. Going up watch your head, coming down even more of a challenge as the steps are steep... More

This was by far one of the most fun excursions my wife and I have done on the spur of the moment. History, interactive displays and the Retired Vets giving their prospective on the life aboard the ship was great. Well done.
