uss midway museum is open from morning till afternoon , you should go there not after 12 noon. the toure it takes time and it take 2-3 hours. you find restaurant there as well.

The USS Midway was commissioned shortly after the end of WW2 and saw active service up until the first Gulf War in 1991 and beyond before becoming a museum moored in San Diego.

They were open the whole time we were there and we arrived at noon and left at 4pm.

Yes, I'm sure that would be no problem. We were checked for weapons, not for food or beverages.
