One of the largest museums here. Interesting to see that the hacienda was shaped in a rectangle. And each room had a different purpose. If you were the parents, you had to Leave your room, go across the patio, then eat in the dining room....More

I whet in with the sole purpose of looking at the house. However, after I entered the courtyard, I spent most of my time looking at the water fountain and the various different plant life. I must admit, I found myself thinking that it would've...More

This museum is a house that you can walk through and see how they lived. The rooms are decorated in authentic decor of their day. Interesting to see how different life was. A beautiful property.

This is a must see, in fact it's right in the center of Old Town San Diego and of course Old Town is a never miss. This home was built by the Estudillo family when San Diego still belonged to Mexico. We talk a lot...More

The last time I was here, there was construction going on and refurbishing, but it still is a great "hidden" section of Old Town. It may seem incongruous that this place is peaceful in the middle of the area, but so many people are on...More

Casa de Estudillo was one of the first adobe homes built in San Diego. Construction starting in 1827, it showcases how one of San Diego's most prominent and wealthy early settler families carved out their lives and changed forever the lives of the Kumeyaay (San...More
