We like to come to the winery we we don't feel like a longer trip to Temecula. The winery is a curious San Diego piece of history. We like to browse the chops and do some wine tasting. Stick to the sparkling wines and reds, avoid the rose. Also there is a restaurant on site. The site is pretty rustic... More

If it's all about the wine, this is the winery to visit. We visited a few wineries in Temecula, great setting, but for the most part, I felt the wines in that area were a bit overpriced. Bernardo is the oldest winery in the area, set around some very nice small shops and an upscale area. Wines were quite good... More

On a vacation to San Diego, we drove out to Bernardo Winery for an afternoon wine tasting. It took about 30 min from downtown on the multi-lane, nerve racking California freeways. Although surrounded by housing developments, once on the property it feels like a rural country setting. The winery is rustic, with antique décor, and offers wine tasting, food and... More

Nestled away is this quaint piece of warmth and invitation; allowing you to get away from it all. Went here for a friends birthday celebration. The only disappointment was when it was time to leave. The restaurant, Cafe Merlot was wonderful, robust salads, Mimosas and outdoor seating to take in the people and music. The Sweet Shoppe has exotic mixes... More

You can't go wrong making a visit to the grounds of the Bernardo Winery. There are numerous boutique shops and galleries and the grounds and feel of the place are rustic and quaint. A one-of-a-kind. And where else can you walk around with a glass of wine while you shop or stroll!

I love this place for so many reasons: first off, it's tucked in an exquisite little winery that's packed with adorable shops and fun little places to sit and enjoy. Second, I love the experience of eating outside on a Sunday morning, sipping a mimosa while listening to someone playing the keyboard. (Don't pass on the mimosas, by the way... More

I just love this winery. It has a few different shops, a chocolate store, a clothing and handbag store, and it's just so quaint. Live music on Sundays, great wine any day of the week. When you do a wine tasting, they allow you to pair a piece of chocolate with each different wine you try. Delicious!

Great atmosphere and wine. We went on a Friday evening and they had a live jazz band. I had a salad for dinner and it was just okay. Other people with my group really liked their food so maybe it was just my salad. I probably should've read the menu better as mine had purple onion which I dislike. Also... More

My husband and I visited the Bernardo winery on a Friday evening when they were having an art walk. We also ate dinner at the winery. The dinner was decent but you definitely pay a hefty price tag for it. If we come back, we'll skip the actual food and just have wine with maybe a cheese plate. While the... More
