The downtown district/area encompasses that geographic area extending along Laurel Street (near the airport), along Hwy 5 following its curve down to the Coronado Bay Bridge. Inside these confines lie signature Little Italy, Gaslamp Quarter, and East Village neighborhoods. LIttle Italy and Gaslamp are recognized...More

We visited this area of San Diego on a two day stop over. We used the trolley bus to reach this area as it is quite far out from the main area of town. It has been set aside as a museum with buildings etc...More

First off, I'm a New Yorker, and have seen all sorts of stuff. However, on my recent trip to San Diego, I must say I have never seen so many homeless people in my life. Seriously. All over the city-- whether in public parks, like...More

A very clean city but other than Gasslamp Quarter it is not that pedestrian freindly. Walking downtown is clean and safe, but not a lot of action. Very little pedestrians but a lot of busy car traffic. We also used the bus, but found it...More

Lots to see and do at the Embarcadero and Seaport Village. Nice walk, trolley or pedicabs. A great chance from zoos and theme parks.

Downtown is super busy and slightly overwhelming if you aren't used to city driving. But, the downtown area is beautiful and full of culture.

Downtown is undergoing some big changes. Last night Billy Joel was playing to a sold out crowd in the stadium and downtown was alive and jumping with activities. Always a good time wherever you wind up.

My girlfriend and I enjoy good fish tacos, visiting micro breweries and the ocean. We received all three with our visit. There are many local breweries that we visited and had some wonderful fish tacos in the Village area. We didn't have a rental car...More
