We went for dinner and had a lovely meal. The place is a zoo though. We were there during a huge convention and the place was packed. It is fun if you like night life.

There are lots of restaurants, bars & dessert shops within all walk in distance. Fun experience to check it out if you enjoy a good meal and what to see where all the people are hanging.

This area of San Diego has boomed in recent years. There are many restaurants there along with shops and living units.

Just an area full of restaurants and bars. Not worth the effort and pavements were heaving and had to keep walking in the road.

I heard a lot about this and didn't end up being impressed at all. There were many, many restaurants though.

Little Italy ranges over quite a few blocks in San Diego. There are lots of places to eat. My suggestion is to eat small things at many different places so you can sample lots of food.

We stayed at the Best Western Bayside Inn right next to Little Italy, and really enjoyed the restaurants and gift shops there. For us, it seemed cleaner, less congested and not as expensive as the Gas Lamp district.
