Nice bog boardwalk (well mostly concrete) but not like the boardwalks you find on the eat coast. Mostly just the fronts of hotels and beach houses. No cool shops or cafes or stuff.

Easy to get there using local Transportation via bus. Drops you off right at the beach next to Belmont Park. Many souvenir shops, restaurants, and more with walking distance. Miles of clean white sandy beach. Restrooms and rinsing showers available.

Visited here over Labor Dy 2017. Beautiful Beach -- clear, roomy and the sound of the ocean is very peaceful. Plenty of restaurants on the Boardwalk open to the beach & shops off the boardwalk.

Take this walk from the Balboa Park all the way along the beach! You will find a bunch of restaurants across the boardwalk as well as margarita places! Not only is this an amazing walk, but you have a lot of places to stop along...More

The beach is the reason to be here but it's just a public beach. Good for people watching and catching a bite to eat.

I came here one weekend with my spouse for vacation and new we had to come back with the kids. What a great day here! Spent the daytime on the beach and the evening at the boardwalk. Great memories.

If you want to walk at the beach, but don't want to walk on the sand, do it here. Early mornings are best. Otherwise, it is crowded and you'll be dodging bicycles, joggers, skaters and oblivious people.

We met family at Mission Beach last Wednesday, and discovered the boardwalk. We walked about a quarter mile up and back. It was not crowded, but i'll bet weekends are really busy.

I'm not sure. I was going to go on public transit from Mission Bay to La Jolla but tried Uber for the first time so my trip out there was free and to get back it was $9. I'd get on the public transit page and look for... More

I'm not sure as I was there at lunch. I did walk the area around 8 pm and felt most places were closed.
