What a consistent product! Outstanding food and beer. I have been coming here since they opened. Always great food, atmosphere and service. Tonight Leo out did himself in service as well as did the kitchen. They put together a great house salad and a perfect fish and chips. You have to try their Mosaic IPA, AWESOME!

Stopped in on a whim as we love microbrews. What a great place! Beer selection albeit only their brews was diverse and perfect for any palate. Only had the Brussel sprouts and they were on point.

We went to this restaurant for lunch as it is a very short walk from the BW Bayside Inn. This place makes its own beer. My friend enjoyed the dark beer from the brewery. The food was also good. I had the fish and chips with yummy coleslaw and my friend had the pork schnitzel slider. The bun was excellent... More

I was staying at one of the nearby hotels on a business trip and wanted something in walking distance. Not many options. So I walked into this place kind of by default. A great experience. The wait staff was very friendly, very attentive and fast. They had many craft brews from which to choose; I was deciding between three, and... More

The food was just so-so. I was a bit disappointed. I liked the atmosphere, but the club sandwich was overpriced and just boring. The turkey was too thick (think turkey dinner kind of thick) and the sandwich was too big to be put together, so I had to eat half at a time (that is, with just one piece of... More

Stopped by to grab a lunch bite to eat while enjoying the sites of San Diego. Our server Laura was great, took good care of us. We started off with beers Aurora Hoppyalis and Tower 10 IPA, both were very good. We ordered the Ahi Poke (Sashimi grade chopped ahi, tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, cilantro tossed in a spicy firecracker... More

Great food and service within walking distance of Westin San Diego. Took home the Oktoberfest stein. Don't pass up the Ghirardelli dessert.

And some of the most passionate wait staff we've ever experienced in a craft tasting room. Very strong collection on tap. Still amazed at the distinctive banana flavor from the old Bavarian yeast. Very well done. We'll definately return to this one.

Karl Strauss' is a classic local brew pub downtown. It was a fun place to eat. About what you would expect from this sort of restaurant. Good beer selections. Good food. Fairly long wait to get in, but the staff was helpful during our wait.

My husband and I stopped in to try a local beer and loved both of our selections! We didn't have time to enjoy a meal but decided to return as the menu looked fantastic...and it was! The burger was delicious and the salmon/tuna burger was great!
