Grandkids Loved it !!! But it closes at 4:00 p.m.

Very well done down to the last detail. Trains of a variety of sizes running on huge track layouts in neat and clean facility. It's worth seeing !!

Exceptional model train lay outs, never seen anything like it before. The layout of the SP line over the Tehachapi pass circa 1950 is a 50 year work in progress that is remarkable in it's detail and attention to detail.

Went here while on a business trip. Take some time and really study the place as there is a lot to see and it is very cool. While currently under construction, this doe not detract from how interesting this place it is for train lovers of any age. Be sure and look at the topographical map of the rail line... More

Oaky so I'm a girl who likes model trains. I have loved them all my life and keep returning to the museum every time I come to San Diego. Such a beautiful museum.

I was burned out on museums, but my spouse went after the automobile museum, and enjoyed his time there. He spent about 3 hours just cruising thru the exhibits, reading the signs, and remembering his own model railroad days from early childhood. He found it very interesting and saw a lot of kids there with parents. It is a nice... More

We are train fans, so this stop was a no-brainer for us. The family enjoyed the model trains and active presence of the club personnel who were there. Worth the $10 each!

I love miniature stuff. I love tiny stuff. I love trains. I love the Model Railroad Museum! You don't really need to be a kid to enjoy a visit here. It's a great place for Train enthusiasts but it's also a great place to talk to one of the knowledgeable Volunteers and become an enthusiast! The Volunteers love their job... More

Wonderful exhibition, run mainly by volunteers, who come together to build amazingly detailed tracks on different gauges. The people running the trains were very friendly and happy to answer questions. Just a lovely museum, thoroughly enjoyed my visit.

My 7 year old son is a train addict so a visit here was a must. I'm not fussed with trains but it was pretty cool. My sons thought it was unreal and didn't want to leave.
