The hot chocolate takes time for them to make (with real, steamed milk) and there are healthy and quick selections too. My friend got the Double Hotdog thing, which was a hot dog inside a split hot dog. Helps support the Science Center and is...More

We visited this science museum with our four children (9-16) but I would recommend it more for children under 8. While my kids understood the scientific concepts (gravity, optical illusions, magnets, etc. - having come across them in their studies over the years) there were...More

We went because we have passes to our local science center which means we can get in for free. So I can't comment on value but I can comment on the exhibits. Both my daughters were underwhelmed (12 &10) and felt that it is perfect...More

There's a dedicated play room for children age 5 and under. The selection for the 6+ crowd will hold their attention for 1-2 hours. On museum free days the IMAX theatre costs extra, $9.75 per child. We did this October 2015 with a friend and their...More

As a child this was one of my favorite places. When my daughter was little, this was hers and now my grandson adores it!

Great interactive museum for children. My baby is 1 and there is a 5 and under place for kids upstairs which was fun for her. Did not like the ocean 3-D movie- outdated and too detailed for kids and adults. Balboa park is beautiful.

This is a good place to spend an hour or so with kids. Lots of fun little displays and exhibits. Also an IMAX theater with a number of showings to choose from. Our kids enjoyed everything.

This place is a complete misnomer. It is an IMAX theater. If you're going there to watch a movie, swell. Otherwise there is nothing "science" about it. My visit brought a very weak circus exhibit to see. And that's it. Have you read the book...More

Opened in 1974 the Fleet was the first in the nation to combine interactive exhibits with IMAX and a Planetarium. Upgraded frequently since then, and still a leader in the field. Named for the founder of the Airmail Service in the U.S. The best interactive...More
