We planned on a couple of hours and stayed 5. The State Park is filled with restored properties, some serving as museums, others housing shops. Took the time to stroll through the park. Skip the most of the touristy shops but visit the original school museum, the Estudillo Hacienda and the Machado museum. The little garden behind the museum is charming and you can sit a bit. The Fiesta DE Reyes area is pretty to wander, the Nibbles Chocolate shop is worth a stop.

We sent the afternoon at the park and the surrounding area. Learned a lot about early California! Lots of native history complete with native costumes! Many shops, restaurants and museums to see and experience! Everyone we spoke to was pleasant and polite. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!!!

There are so many things to see and do in Old Town one needs a whole day to see and do it all. Wish I had more time in that location

This is a great area, which tells the history of old San Diego..there is a Museum, Park..and next to that a renovated 200 year old hotel, along with old shops, and restaurants.. great area.. must see while visiting.

Really charming attraction and very interesting, all the staff were dressed in traditional costume which really added to the attraction. Good choice of shops and eateries with an authentic feel.
