Great Zoo! We love visiting zoos when on vacation, and the San Diego Zoo is the best! Covid restrictions cancelled the bus tours and shows which we have enjoyed in the past, but being retired and no kids with us (and also mid week) we happily walked the entire zoo. We had lunch at the Hua Mei Cafe and it was surprisingly good! The volunteers were helpful in directing us towards venues and answering questions about the animals that we were viewing. World Class!…

Me and my husband spent 6 hours on a Monday at the zoo! We walked all over the zoo. We were a little bummed to see the sky ride is only opened on the weekends. The animals were so active and beautiful and the park was clean!! I loved how tropical and lush the whole place was. Staff readily available to ask questions staggered all over the park. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy the scenery and the animals. Great experience!! …

The vast majority of exhibits where open, ticket purchasing online was easy, health screening and air line where well planned and executed. With limited attendance due to Covid it felt very spacious and uncrowded.

Review of: San Diego Zoo Ticket
I purchased two adult tickets to the San Diego Zoo, via TripAdvisor, for visiting on February 20, 2021. When we arrived in the parking lot and I was trying to retrieve the tickets, their website was busy and unaccessible. We were directed to go to the customer service window Number 4 or 5 for assistance. A manager attempted to help, tried contacting TripAdvisor as well, and no luck reaching them. I eventually had to purchase 2 new tickets from the San Diego Zoo to get into the zoo because my tickets via TripAdvisor were still not able to be retrieved in order to scan the bar code. Once inside the zoo, I was finally able to reach Viator, who represents TripAdvisor, and the representative couldn't reach anyone at TripAdvisor either, nor could she credit me my $120.00. She took a refund request but stated that I have to wait 10 days to "see" if I can get a refund. This experience has been a nightmare. I recommend buying tickets directly from the San Diego Zoo and pay the service fee. DO NOT BUY FROM TRIPADVISOR. This issue is still not resolved.…

Buy your ticket online, get there early @9am via Uber, bring hand sanitizer, plot your course. The line outside moves quickly in the morning but slow in the afternoon. Most stations inside the park ran out of hand sanitizer by noon so bring your own. The staff is super helpful and friendly but make sure you plot a course straight to the animals you want to see first since it does get really crowded around the small viewing windows for animals like tigers and gorillas. Skytram opens at 11am. …
