Interesting tour guides but not a lot to see

I had heard about this and wanted to go and see it. I am not sure if I am a believer in ghosts but never say never. It was interesting to see the old building and read the notes on each room. There is quite a background. I would recommend talking to someone that works there as you find out... More

We went to see the house on a not so nice day and it has some great history and artifacts from the Gold Rush era. Saw some pictures of "ghost sightings", but didn't see anything ourselves. Nice excursion, but just average.

If in the Old Town, this little house is worth a visit. It was a site of hangings before Tom Whaley bought the land and built his family home on the site. There is a lot of history around the building, and over the generations the building has seen many uses which explains the litany of tales around ghosts. The... More

I absolutely love the history of this house! I am a huge paranormal fan so this tour was a must! I can't say that I experienced anything but just the story gave me chills. I can only imagine how nice this must be around Halloween.

One of the most haunted homes in the US. Go here in October or at night if you love ghost stuff. For a small building in today's standards it is packed with stories. It has a great history and scared the poop out of Regis Feldmen. If you are in Old Town this is one of the highlights of the... More

Took the kids to tour the Whaley House and it was a fun tour. It is supposedly one of the most haunted sites in the US and has been on several different documentaries show on TV, so we decided a visit was in order. We did not see anything unusual but enjoyed the visit. It is not scary or gory... More

If you enjoy history and visiting historic homes, you will enjoy the Whaley House in Old Town, San Diego. Built by a wealthy entrepreneur, the building's first floor housed a general store and the county courthouse. The courthouse is set up in the museum as is a small store. The family lived upstairs and then moved to the first floor... More

We spent a day visiting the San Diego old town. If you get there early enough, there is plenty of free parking. Our first visit was into the Whaley House. Not very big but interesting to learn what it has been used for such, as a courthouse. It was a self guided tour but the guy at the door was... More

I took the tour yesterday with my wife. I didn't want to scare anyone but when I went upstairs in the bedroom furthest from the theatre room, my nose started to bleed pretty good. I've never had a nosebleed problem in my life. I'm 30 years old. Anyways, I didn't want to scare some of the folks in my group... More

So this was supposed to be a day of adventure and it sure was. Wasn't expecting to check it out but did and it created me out. I'd say it's something you have to do when you're in San Diego but I don't think I'd go again. Very interesting though.
