We had to visit Brice Cross Roads Battlefield to better understand the battle of Tupelo. Both are important sites and this one is right in town on Main St so if you’re visiting Tupelo you should visit. Lots of trees, 2 cannons, Confederate grave sites...More

We were informed by the educator at the Interpretive Center the this battlefield could be found in Tupelo, Mississippi. We found the site as we were exploring the city of Tupelo. I did not know that a Civil War battle had occurred in Tupelo until...More

This is a very small piece of land that has been set up to preserve the Tupelo Battlefield. It takes less than 15 minutes to see the whole thing. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit here, but if you're in Tupelo, its...More

The address given is the visitor center of the Natchez Trace Parkway, where you can pick up a brochure. The actual site is a single lot on Main Street in Tupelo, with a couple cannon, 2 monuments, a few graves and a map display that...More

There was no visitor center, just a monument and graves on a corner in Tupelo. A little disappointing. It was really hard to find, we drove by it several times before we realized it was there.

Do yourself a favor and just keep on driving down Main Street as you pass this "battlefield". The information provided at this site does a serious disservice to the relevance of this battle. As a HUGE civil war history buff, I am sorely disappointed.
